Hello to my fellow Knab enthusiasts! This is a photo of a mare named "Tusindfryd." If you know where she is, would somebody let me know?
Anyhow, I'm offering up this page to just show you what I've found in my initial research on the Knab. I'm not endorsing anyone or anything, as I don't know enough about who to trust or who to be wary of at this point. I'm sure this web page will evolve as I establish contacts of trust and settle into my own philosophy about where I think this precious breed should go. So... this is some great stuff. If you want your information on my site, I will post it. I have no bias at this point and I'm honestly saddened about the division I've found within the people who love this breed.
I will be going to Denmark to observe an inspection this summer. I have an extensive background in the Friesian and how it has evolved and is now inspected. I believe there is a structure beginning to evolve for the Knab that is similar.

Erlerhof - Titan
Norbert has been very helpful and communicative about his opinions in preserving the original Knab. His horses tend toward the baroque style. He is located in Austria.

I found this link very interesting. It appears to be another farm offering Knabs. I like the amount of hair on these horses and the fact that they don't look like thorougbreds! Oh gosh... I've probably offended somebody..... Sorry...

This is another interesting link from Germany. Sabine has also been helpful in expressing her opinions about the original breed.

I've received very professional correspondence from Blacklaw. They appear to be breeding horses of sport and color.

I initially had contact with Ruth. I liked Malu. I still don't understand all of the registration issues. I look forward to going to Denmark for the inspections!
